Morgan Theatre Arts was founded by Ann-Marie Morgan as a centre of excellence for ballet, tap and modern dance.
Ann-Marie began dancing with Mary Glaze and furthered her training with the Dublin City Ballet. She then studied the Imperial Teachers of Dancing Examination syllabus (ISTD) and holds her associate status in Ballet, Modern, Tap and Greek dance.
Ann-Marie has choreographed performances at the Grand Opera House in Belfast as well as for TV, schools and various musical societies. She has worked extensively with the Ulster Youth Theatre and the National Youth Theatre of Wales.
Ann-Marie’s choreographic work covers a wide range of musicals, including Oklahoma and Grease. She was awarded choreographer of the year in 2002 by Dance Northern Ireland and has won numerous awards from Aims.
Ann-Marie opened her own dance school in 1990 which has gone from strength to strength. Together with husband Bernard, she opened Morgan Theatre Arts studios in 2007. Ann-Marie believes that you should never stop training and is currently studying new grades in Tap and Modern dance with the ISTD as well as updating and furthering her teacher’s status.
